My interest in clothing and passion for design started at a young age, I’ve been creating ever since my mother taught me how to sew at 8 years old. In the 80’s, I made bike shorts out of neon swim fabrics and sold them to my friends. In high school, I could be found in art class or the sewing studio, whipping up taffeta prom dresses or denim jackets. At 18, I applied to one university, Parsons School of Design in New York, where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design in 1995.
Over the past 20 plus years I have designed for global fashion and lifestyle brands including Royal Copenhagen, Victoria’s Secret, Banana Republic, and Abercrombie & Fitch. I also founded my own swimwear label and designed for Nike, creating tennis apparel for world class athletes. Presently, I work as a Creative Director for CHANGE Lingerie, based in Copenhagen.
I am inspired by art, culture, societal trends, craftsmanship, nature, and modernity juxtaposed with history. Personally, I’m happiest when making things with my hands; cooking, knitting, drawing, sourdough baking, and sewing. Professionally, I enjoy creative collaboration, traveling the world to collect new inspiration, visiting manufacturers, learning new techniques, and seeing product come to life.
I grew up in Cape Cod, MA in the US and live in Copenhagen with my son Theo.
